ADLiCO and SWCFC teamed up to create a super-light and tough camping table in mass production

June 12,2024
SUNWELL Carbon Fiber Composites (SWCFC) and ADLiCO have joined hands successfully to incorporate recycled carbon fiber mat/veil into a brand new lightweight and durable camping table. This innovative product not only provides consumers with a more convenient and resilient camping experience but also helps achieve low carbon emission goals for the product. It has already commenced mass production this year.

Recognizing the consumer demand for lightweight camping equipment, ADLiCO's R&D team has been evaluating different materials and processes. Through the joint efforts of ADLiCO and SWCFC, we have replaced the traditional fiberglass layer with recycled carbon fiber mat/veil, resulting in a 13% reduction in total weight compared to the previous generation product. Additionally, around 20% of recycled materials have been incorporated on average into the new product. The aim is to promote consumer participation in sustainable practices while enjoying nature through a positive consumer experience.

The recycled carbon fiber fabric mat/veil used in this product is obtained through SWANCOR's patented CleaVER degradation technology. This recycled carbon fiber is world's first GRS certificated 100% recycled carbon fiber. In February of this year, it also obtained the ISO 14067 certificate, proving a significant 97% reduction in carbon emissions compared to new carbon fiber. This innovative material not only achieves efficient resource reuse but also makes a positive contribution to the environment.

The successful collaboration between both companies in this endeavor will pave the way for continued investment in the application of recycled materials in other products. This will further drive the development of green circular industries, promoting harmonious and sustainable coexistence between humanity and the environment.
